How it works

From order to GST report, on its own

You run your store. Submerce keeps the paperwork in step.

STEP 1

An order comes in

A customer buys from your store, or you create the order yourself.

STEP 2

Invoice is created

A GST-ready invoice with your prefix and the next number.

STEP 3

Returns get a credit note

If an order comes back, a credit note keeps your books correct.

STEP 4

Reports add up

Sales, GST and returns data are ready for your CA.

Setup

GSTIN or PAN. Either works.

Tax details are step 3 of the four guided setup steps. Enter them once and every invoice uses them.

Have a GSTIN?

Enter it, choose your GST scheme and invoice prefix. You're done.

Not registered yet?

Start with your PAN and sell. Add your GSTIN later from Settings.

Regular or composition

Tell us your GST scheme. That's all.

Two common GST schemes, in plain words. Pick the one your business is registered under.

Regular scheme

The standard way most businesses register

You charge GST on your sales and can usually claim credit for the GST you pay on purchases.

  • GST shown on every invoice
  • IGST, or CGST and SGST, worked out per order
  • Sales and GST data ready for your returns

Composition scheme

A simpler option for some smaller businesses

You pay tax at a fixed rate on your turnover and have fewer filings. The rules are different, including for selling online.

  • Choose it during setup
  • Change it in Settings if your registration changes
  • Your sales records stay in one place

Not sure which one you are? Check your GST registration or ask your CA. Submerce creates your invoices and reports; it does not give tax advice.
